How it works

  1. Describe your business

One sentence is enough: what you do and who it’s for.

  2. Get names that fit

Names in your language, with a free .com by default. Filter them or ask for more.

  3. Check one in depth

Domains with prices, social handles and similar trademarks on one card.

  4. Choose together

Shortlist your favourites, let friends vote, then register the domain.

Everything one search checks

Every name gets the same live checks. Here is one of them, recorded with its date.

500+domain extensions

Domains, with real prices

We ask registries and DNS the moment you search: .com first, then the zones that fit your business and country.

  • “Free” only when the registry confirms it
  • Typical first-year and renewal price for every zone
  • Themed and city zones like .coffee or .nyc on the name card

13social platforms

Handles that look free

Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube and nine more, checked together instead of one app at a time.

  • “Looks free”: we found no account with that name
  • The platform decides at sign-up
  • Where a platform hides the answer, you get a link to check yourself

4.4MUS trademarks

Trademarks, before you fall in love

We search active US marks for the same name and look-alikes in your business category.

  • Same spelling, similar sound, similar spelling
  • Matched to the categories of your description
  • EU and Brazil next. An automated check, not legal advice

One search instead of four tabs

How we check, and what we don’t claim

Every status on the page comes from a live source. Here is what each word means and how the service pays for itself.

Where the data comes from

  • Domain registries (RDAP and WHOIS) and DNS, asked when you search
  • Public profile pages of each social platform
  • The USPTO trademark register, with the date of the data

Words we choose carefully

  • “Free” only when the registry confirms; “likely free” when a quick check found nothing
  • “Looks free” for handles: the platform decides at sign-up
  • Never “available” for trademarks, and no legal advice

Your privacy

  • No sign-up to search, check or vote
  • No ad trackers; analytics without cookies, never what you type
  • Delete your account, shortlist and votes at any time

How we make money

  • Registrars may pay us a commission when you buy through our links
  • Your price doesn’t change; the prices we show are typical, not quotes
  • No paid placements among the names we suggest

Questions

Names

How does the name generator work?

You describe your business and an AI model suggests names. We keep the ones that are easy to spell and, by default, have a free .com, then check each of them live.

What language are the names in?

The language of the page: English, Spanish, Portuguese, German or French. On other pages you can switch to English names in Options.

Can I ask for short or invented names?

Yes. In Options, pick what the names should be like: short, easy to spell, one word, invented, real words, playful or premium. A few pairs exclude each other, like invented and real words.

How many names do I get?

Up to 20 per search. Tap “More names” for another batch, or edit the description to steer them. There is an hourly limit to keep the service fast for everyone.

Checks

How do you know a domain is free?

We ask DNS and the domain registries live. “Free” means the registry has no record of it; “likely free” means a quick check found nothing and the registrar confirms when you buy.

Which domain extensions do you check?

More than 500: .com and other popular ones, themed ones like .coffee or .studio, cities like .nyc and countries. Pick up to five for every name in Options, or check them all on a name’s card.

Where do the prices come from?

We show a typical first-year and renewal price for each zone from a public registrar price list, updated daily. Each registrar shows its exact price before you pay.

Why can a registrar’s price be higher?

Some registries price certain names higher (“premium”), and registrars set their own prices. Ours are typical prices for the zone; the registrar shows the exact one before you pay.

What does “looks free” mean for social handles?

We found no account with that name. The platform decides at sign-up. Some platforms hide this, so we give you a link to check yourself.

Can I rely on the trademark check?

It searches the US trademark register for identical and similar marks in your category. EU and Brazil are on the way. It’s an automated check, not legal advice — ask a trademark attorney before you invest in a name.

Account and buying

Is it free?

Yes. Generating names, checking them and sharing a shortlist are free. We may earn a commission if you buy a domain through our links; your price doesn’t change.

Do I need an account?

No. Your shortlist is kept in this browser. Add your email to keep it on any device: we send a sign-in link, no password.

How does voting work?

Star names to add them to your shortlist, then share the voting link. Friends like names and leave comments without signing up, and you see the results and the most liked name.

Do you sell domains?

Not yet. “Buy” takes you to a registrar such as Dynadot, Namecheap or Spaceship with the domain filled in. We may earn a commission; your price doesn’t change.

What do you do with my description?

We keep it with the generated names to run and improve the service. You can delete your account at any time on the account page.
